The technology of the steaming activates a transformation of the wood cells, causing a color change and allowing a more efficient drying process. Steaming is useful to stabilize and homogenize moisture rate throughout the entire wood volume; changing the color of the wood without changing its characteristics by a natural procedure which does not use chemical agents.
